Guide to the Perfect Vermouth - How to Enjoy It to the Fullest
Your Easy Guide to Enjoying Vermouth
Vermouth is much more than a drink: it's a moment, a tradition, a pleasure. If you're new to the world of vermouth or just want to enjoy it better, here's everything you need to know.
🍷 What is Vermouth?
Vermouth is a wine flavored with herbs and spices. It can be red, white, or rosé, and each type has its own flavor. The important thing is that it's versatile, delicious, and perfect for enjoying in good company.
❄️ How is it Served?
Temperature: Chilled, but not ice-cold. Between 6-8°C is ideal. Take it out of the fridge a few minutes before serving.
Glass: A wide-rimmed glass or a lowball glass. The important thing is that it has space for the aromas.
Ice: A couple of large ice cubes. Avoid crushed ice, which will water it down too much.
Final touch: An orange slice, an olive, or a lemon peel. Simple and effective.
🍽️ What to Pair it With?
Vermouth calls for something to snack on. This is where our gourmet sauces shine:
- Red Vermouth: Perfect with patatas bravas, olives, ham, or cured cheeses. Try our Brava Sauce or Barbecue Sauce.
- White Vermouth: Ideal with anchovies, marinated anchovies, nuts, or mild cheeses. Pair it with our Yogurt Sauce or Truffle Sauce.
- Rosé Vermouth: Great with cold cuts, croquettes, or toasts. Emmy Sauce or Spicy Mayo are perfect options.
⏰ When to Drink it?
Traditionally, vermouth is the aperitif drink: before lunch, between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. But the truth is, a good vermouth can be enjoyed whenever you fancy: on a terrace at sunset, with friends, or simply to relax at home.
🎯 Quick Tips
- Store vermouth in the fridge once opened
- Consume it within 2-3 months after opening to maintain its freshness
- Experiment: vermouth + tonic, vermouth + soda, or just with ice
- There are no strict rules: enjoy it however you like best
